Developed alongside female surgeons, the Mammo‑shield™ is designed to be easy to apply and can be worn with any existing X-ray apron, so there’s no need to replace your current garment. Its unique elasticated design helps the shield move upwards to cover the axilla as the arms rise, and a system of five adjustable elastic straps allows it to be configured to suit a wide range of body shapes for better comfort and fit.
For ongoing safety, Rothband highlights simple QA: because the shield experiences stress and multi-directional creasing during use, it’s designed to be regularly screened to check for any cracks developing over time.
